There are some things you can do to help yourself stay well this winter. This includes getting your winter vaccinations.
Viruses common in winter can make some people very unwell and result in serious problems that may need hospital care. They can even be life threatening.
That’s why this autumn and winter the NHS is offering free vaccines to those most at risk of being unwell if they catch flu, Covid and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

If you are in any of the following groups, you will want to check what vaccines you and your family are eligible for this winter:
- If you are pregnant.
- If you are the parent or carer of a child or young person.
- If you are aged 65 or above.
- If you are an adult with health conditions.

Getting vaccinated also makes it less likely you will pass a virus on to someone else, so it can help to protect those around you too.
All NHS vaccines available have been rigorously tested.
They are available from autumn to help you get protected ahead of the colder months, but will also be available throughout winter.
