It’s Children’s Mental Health Week (5 – 11 Feb), a mental health awareness week that gives a voice to all children and young people in the UK.
The focus for this year’s campaign is ‘my voice matters’, which is about empowering children and young people and providing them with the tools they need to express themselves. Feeling that we are listened to can have a positive impact on our wellbeing.
Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) have worked with professionals in children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing, to create the Greater Manchester (GM) 10 Top Tips for Thriving.
These tips offer practical advice for parents and practitioners about simple things that we can all do to support children’s social emotional development and wellbeing, and give our children the best start in life.
Throughout Children’s Mental Health week we’ll be sharing the top tips across social media. You can find all of the top tips for thriving, as well as a range of resources for families and professionals, on the GMCA website.
