Vaccinations will once again be available to people at highest risk of mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) following a small increase in the number of cases in Greater Manchester.

NHS Greater Manchester (GM) is urging anyone who is eligible and hasn’t already received their Monkeypox vaccinations, to do so before the vaccination programme ends.

Those who were first to receive the vaccination over the summer now be eligible to receive their second dose, which is recommended two to three months after getting the first vaccination. To ensure that getting that second dose is as easy and convenient as possible, several appointment-only clinics will be running across Greater Manchester in October and November.

Two further clinics will run on Thursday 25th August and Tuesday 30th August via a booking system.

A walk-in clinic will run this Saturday (20th August) for people who are eligible for the vaccine and have used sexual health clinics across any of the ten areas of Greater Manchester.
