Trafford residents are being urged to help design an NHS in Greater Manchester that's 'Fit for the Future'.

They can share their views at public engagement event on Thursday 26 September, 2024.

The event runs from 2pm until 4pm at Flixton House, Flixton Road, Urmston, M41 5GJ. It is part of a series of Fit for the Future events which are being arranged across Greater Manchester.

A rich history

Trafford has a long and rich history with the NHS and Trafford General Hospital was the country’s first NHS hospital.

However, the NHS faces challenges. Waiting lists are growing and people may struggle to access some services or find it hard to know where to go for help and support.

We are keen to hear from people living and working in Trafford about their experiences with NHS services. The event is an opportunity to share your thoughts on what works well and what can be improved.

Share your views

You will hear from some of the leading experts in Trafford on how they are working. A group session will allow you to  share your views and listen to other people’s ideas.

By prioritising the issues most important to local people, NHS Greater Manchester can develop services that are fit for the future.

Sara Todd, Trafford’s Place Based Lead at NHS Greater Manchester, said “We are really looking forward to the NHS ‘Fit for the Future’ public engagement event.

“It is a great opportunity for us to learn about what matters most to our Trafford residents and how we can improve our services. With this knowledge we can make the necessary changes to improve people’s experience within our care, and work towards healthier communities.”

The event is free but booking is essential. Book your place online or call/text 07786 673762.
