Dementia Support Stockport

The Alzheimer’s Society provides personalised help and advice for people with dementia and their carers. Depending on your needs, they can offer information and signposting or ongoing support regardless of whether you are worried about your memory, have a diagnosis of dementia or are a carer, family or friend.

Step Out Stockport

Step Out is a day-time service for adults offering a safe and welcoming place where people can socialise, join in with structured activities and receive support and assistance.

The service is provided through daytime sessions based at Whitehill Resource Centre in Reddish.

Each session runs between 9.30am and 4.00pm, Monday – Saturday, except on public holidays. Attendance can be booked for more than one session across the week.

Please note, this service is not available outside Age UK Stockport – Head Office’s catchment area.

Dementia Disco

Charity organization that arranges free to attend, regular discos in the Stockport area for people with dementia and their carers, family and friends.

Marple Dementia Drop-in

Providing support for people living with dementia in Marple and the surrounding area.

Friday from 11.30am – 1.30pm at Marple Sports Club, Bowden Lane, Marple, Stockport SK6 6ND.

No booking required.

Heaton Moor Music Café

The Heaton Moor Music Cafe is for people with dementia and their carers, including a music session. It is free to attend with free tea, coffee and biscuits. No music experience required!

Sessions take place every Tuesday from 2pm at Heaton Moor United Church, Stanley Road, Stockport SK4 4HL.
