Central Youth

Central Youth provides a free, confidential and friendly service for young people in Stockport.

It provides the following services:

Phone lines are open Monday – Friday 8:30am-4pm (excluding bank holidays). Our clinic at The Choices Centre, Stockport will be closed on a Thursday until further notice, our phone lines will remain open. Phone lines close between 12-1pm every day.

CHAT sexual health

If you live in Stockport you can now text a Sexual Health Nurse on 07312 263 032 to get confidential and non-judgemental advice and support for a range of sexual health issues, including:

  • HIV Testing

  • Safe sex
  • Contraception
  • Emergency Contraception
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Advice

PaSH Partnership

The Passionate about Sexual Health (PaSH) Partnership) is a collaboration between BHA for Equality, George House Trust and the LGBT Foundation.

The PaSH Partnership will deliver a comprehensive programme of interventions to meet the changing needs of people newly diagnosed with HIV, living longer term with HIV or at greatest risk of acquiring HIV. More information can be found at PaSH (gmpash.org.uk).

Emergency contraception

Emergency contraception can stop you getting pregnant after unprotected sex (sex without contraception or when contraception might have failed).

You need to use emergency contraception within 3 to 5 days of having unprotected sex.

If you’re pregnant and do not want to continue with the pregnancy, you can contact a sexual health clinic and ask for a referral to a termination of pregnancy service.

You can also contact a termination of pregnancy service directly, or speak to a GP who can refer you for an appointment
