Advice and support for carers in Salford. This service supports carers through one-to-one and group support sessions, benefits advice, carer’s assessments and further intervention if needed (such as informal advocacy). Anyone who is a carer of any age who lives in Salford can access this service. They can also support carers who live outside of Salford if their cared for person lives in Salford.

Signpost Stockport

Signpost Stockport for Carers is an independent local charity who have been supporting carers for more than 30 years. If you’re a Stockport carer or caring for somebody living in Stockport, they’re here for you.

A carer is anyone providing help to a friend, neighbour or relative who could not manage without them because of frailty, illness, addiction or disability. Carers often don’t recognise themselves as ‘carers’; they just think of themselves as helping out somebody they care about.

Their aim is to improve the quality of life for carers in Stockport from 6 years old to 96 years old and everyone in-between!

Trafford Carers Centre is an independent registered Charity supporting unpaid carers looking after someone who lives in the Trafford area.

They support adult carers (aged 25+), young adult carers (aged 16-25) and young carers ( Aged 5-15), and to recognise their own needs, to improve their physical and mental wellbeing and ensure they are fully understood, valued and supported in their caring role.

Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre is an is an established, successful and well-respected independent registered charity (1138908) supporting unpaid carers who look after people living in Wigan borough.

They provide services funded by Wigan Council. In addition, they run services which are independently funded through grants from trusts and other sources.
