Maternity

When you’re pregnant one of the first things you’ll need to do is choose your maternity provider.

How you want to give birth may influence your decision on what maternity service you choose. You’ll want to think about things like what kind of pain relief you may want to have access to, what kind of antenatal education they provide and whether they can offer things like water birth, home birth or midwifery led birth.

You have choice over the way your care is planned and received based on what matters to you.

We’ve listed below all the maternity providers on offer in Greater Manchester.

We’ve pulled some information together to help you throughout your pregnancy, delivery, and post-natal journey.

You may want to visit our choice pages to find out more about your right to choose where you have your care. The only time you may be asked to be seen at another provider is if you have a ‘high risk’ pregnancy and need specialist input, but this will be discussed fully with you if necessary.

We wish you and your family the very best in your pregnancy journey.
