I am writing to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act. For each request I would like the most recent data, going back one year, or for however long your service has been operating if you have been operating for less than a year. For example, if the most recent data is from March 2025 I would like the number since March 2024, but if the most recent data is from December 2024 I would like the number since December 2023. If completing the below request in its entirety would trigger the price cap, please provide as much data as you can before the cap is triggered, starting with 1. If you require clarification for any part of the request or cannot complete it, please specify why, and complete any other part of the rest of the request which it is possible to complete.

 

  1. Number of inquiries received from people who have had their Certificate of Sponsorship for a Health and Care worker visa revoked as a result of their sponsor’s licence being revoked.
  2. Number of who have had their Certificate of Sponsorship for a Health and Care worker visa revoked as a result of their sponsor’s licence being revoked to whom you have provided support (please specify what support has been provided if possible)
  3. Number of who have had their Certificate of Sponsorship for a Health and Care worker visa revoked as a result of their sponsor’s licence being revoked in the above category who have found since found a new sponsor and had a new visa issued.
  4. Do you keep a register of recommended ethical employers in the ASC sector, and is it publicly available?
  5. A summary of services provided to who have had their Certificate of Sponsorship for a Health and Care worker visa revoked as a result of their sponsor’s licence being revoked.

  2. 1269 (We offer support to individuals who live in Greater Manchester. Individuals residing outside the area are signposted to relevant regional support based on their postcode) Local pastoral and employment support services, one to one support tailored to individuals’ needs.

Citizen advice: Level 1 Immigration advice, incl. advice on visa extensions, changing sponsors, dependents’ visas and Modern Slavery and Exploitation Safeguarding advice.

Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit (GMIAU) – More specialist Immigration advice and legal support. Includes advice on Health & Social Care visa restrictions and casework to pursue other immigration or return routes, as appropriate.

NHS Professionals (NHSP) – has recently signed a contract with us, and will start their service in a few days:

  • To liaise with Adult Social Care – commissioned providers to promote and provide information and advice about International Recruitment
  • Aggregate suitable vacancies and share them with one of our other partners, Support to Succeed team (assists displaced workers with employability)
  • Provides evidence of providers accessing the pool of displaced workers (condition of new sponsor licences)
