Original Request:

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the impact of Premier League football matchdays (Manchester United at Old Trafford and Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium) on NHS services in Greater Manchester over the last 12 months.

Specifically, I would like to know:

    • The number of emergency medical incidents (including ambulance call-outs, A&E attendances, and on-site medical treatments) recorded by NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care or its providers that have been directly attributed to or occurred on public transport services (Metrolink, bus, rail) on Premier League matchdays.
  2. Major Incidents or Notable Events:
    • A summary of any major or notable incidents involving NHS response on public transport linked to Premier League matchdays, including crowd-related medical emergencies or significant service pressures.
  3. Operational Pressures:
    • Any internal reports, summaries, or statistics regarding increased pressure on NHS services (e.g., A&E departments, ambulance services) that have been linked to public transport congestion or incidents during Premier League matchdays.
  4. Additional Costs or Resource Allocation:
