3. If not, what framework or criteria does the ICB use to categorise differing levels of complexity in dementia care placements?
4. Please provide the total number of older people (aged over 65) with dementia, funded by the ICB, receiving nursing care in care homes, in for the financial year 2023/24,2024/25 and 2025/26 (projected), broken down by the following weekly fee bands:

10. During the financial year 2024/25, how many out-of-area placements did the ICB make for older people (aged 65+) with dementia receiving nursing care in care homes, where the cost of care exceeded £2,000 per week?

NHS Greater Manchester consists of the following 10 Greater Manchester Localities: Bolton, Bury, Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale, Manchester, Oldham, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, and Wigan (former Clinical Commissioning Groups), who currently all have their own processes/systems for recording their Continuing Healthcare (CHC) activity.

1. Commissioning responsibility for Care Home placements is the responsibility of the Chief Nurse, Mandy Philbin. Mandy can be contacted through the NHS Greater Manchester (NHS GM) website at Contact us | Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership.

NHS GM organises itself for the commissioning of CHC packages on a locality basis, with each locality aligned to the local authority area. These teams can be contacted through information available on the NHS GM website at Continuing Healthcare | Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership.

2. NHS GM commissions placement based on person centred approaches that meet the individual’s needs.
