1. How much the ICB spends a year on taxis or other forms of transport for residents of asylum hotels to attend hospital, dentist and GP appointments, and their return journeys. Please can you provide data for calendar years 2022, 2023 and 2024 and 2025 (as much as you have). Please can you also provide data for the year since the 4 July 2024. 

2. How much the ICB spends a year on taxis or other forms of transport for GPs, dentists or any hospital staff to visit asylum hotels. 1. The requested information is not held by NHS Greater Manchester. Transport reimbursement costs are able to be claimed by individuals in line with the Help with Travel Costs scheme, details of which can be found at Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS) – NHS. As part of this scheme, NHS GM does not record whether the patient’s usual residence is a hotel, or whether they are an asylum seeker.
2. NHS GM contracts with GP practices and clinicians to provide services to individuals seeking asylum, who are housed in temporary hotel accommodation. The costs of such services are not separately identified within the contract in respect of transport costs, and therefore the information requested is not held.

In addition, NHS GM does not hold data in respect of any equivalent costs of hospital staff. Such information may be held by the relevant NHS Trust which employs staff who may visit such locations to provide health services.
