Please provide information on how many patients your ICB has funded excision or aspiration of ganglion of the hand or wrist for the financial year 2024/2025.
If possible, I would appreciate the information in a word document that explains the data for hand and wrist both separately and as a total, detailing the totals of both procedures.
Ganglion removal of the hand/wrist is permissible activity; therefore, NHS Greater Manchester (NHS GM) does not hold numbers of how many people have been funded, within this service. This is because if a clinician feels that a patient meets the criteria for treatment then the patient can undergo the treatment. NHS GM can provide the total number of procedures that have taken place, which is 315 procedures.
