I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Details of Request:

Please provide information on how many patients has your ICB funded excision or aspiration of ganglion of the foot or ankle for financial year 2024/2025.

For clarity I am asking for if available:

1. How many patients your ICB funded ganglion excision of the ankle?
2. How many patients your ICB funded ganglion excision of the foot?
3. How many patients your ICB funded ganglion aspiration of the ankle?
4. How many patients your ICB funded ganglion aspiration of the foot?

If possible, I would appreciate the information in a word document or PDF that explains the data for foot and ankle both separately and as a total, detailing the totals of both procedures.

Ganglion removal/aspiration is permissible activity; therefore, NHS Greater Manchester (NHS GM) does not hold numbers of how many people have been funded, within this service. This is because if a clinician feels that a patient meets the criteria for treatment then the patient can undergo the treatment. NHS GM can provide the total number of procedures that have taken place, which is 81 procedures.
