I work for the XXXXXXX. We contribute data to an emergency laparotomy best practice tariff (BPT). We’re interested to know how many ICBs are currently paying the BPT to sites, and how many are still on block contracts. Would you be able to confirm at your earliest convenience how your ICB handles this BPT?
NHS Greater Manchester only currently pay a very small number of BPT’s for this particular procedure to one NHS Provider in GM. If a provider is eligible for the Best Practice tariff and is included within their contract and the provider meets the criteria for a BPT we would then pay them best practice tariff price.
