I am writing regarding an FOI data request for your ICB about the care provided for those with traumatic brain injuries. Please find all relevant questions in the attached document.

Clarity Requested:
I write in response to your recent Freedom of Information request, which was received by NHS Greater Manchester on Thursday 9 October 2025. To be able to process your request and provide you with the correct information, I would be grateful if you would be able to share with me precise definitions and clarity to the points raised below.

1. Question 1. – There is no clearly identifiable “traumatic brain injury” in ICD10 description or coding, please can you provide more detail/a specific code or condition about what information you would like to receive.
2. Questions 1 & 2 – Please can you clearly define what it is you mean by “rehabilitation unit/rehabilitation”.

I am sorry we are unable to help you further at this time, and I look forward to receiving the necessary clarity to be able to action your request.

Please use S06 – Intracranial injury.

Rehabilitation unit means the dedicated ward or service where patients recovered after being discharged from an MTC.
