I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

I would like to obtain the following information relating to injuries involving e-bikes (electric bicycles):

1. The number of patients who have attended your hospitals with injuries caused by, or involving, e-bikes in each of the last 4 calendar years (or financial years if this is how your data is recorded).
2. Where available, please provide a breakdown of injury types or severity (for example: an increase in fractures, head injuries, fatalities, etc.).

Please provide the data broken down by hospital if this can be done within the cost limits of the Act.

Data held by NHS Greater Manchester does not include a record of any A&E attendances caused by a e-bike injury. Therefore, you may wish to contact the NHS Trusts who may have more granular data to be able to provide you with the information you seek.
