My research is exploring current patient safety incidents within home enteral feeding.
As such, a part of my research involves scoping how many people are attending A&E with unplanned enteral tube (Nasogastric tube, Nasojejunal tube, Gastrostomy tube, Jejunostomy tube, Gastro-jejunostomy tubes) related incidents such as tube dislodgement or blockages, buried bumper syndrome, or Enteral tube related aspiration pneumonia.
I wonder if this is information that is kept and could be shared? Or if you have any advice how best to go about collecting this information?
