Reference FOI 2026/1599
Description ADHD services
Date Requested 05/02/2026
Date Replied 24/02/2026
Category LDA Transformation

We are an ICB taking various measures to improve adult ADHD services for our local population. We are keen to ensure we fully explore best practice across the country to maximise opportunity for improvement within our pathway.

We fully appreciate the demand associated in managing the extensive complaints, FOIs, and other requests relating to this pathway, and thus only make this request due to challenges in obtaining this information through other means. We have tried to minimise the workload required by only requesting documents that will be in wider circulation.

  • Do you have a clinical commissioning policy, clinical framework, or similar documentation that defines how you regulate adult ADHD activity, including thresholds for defining mild / moderate / severe symptoms and/or impairment, and any prioritisation, expedite or exclusion criteria you have? If so, please share the most recent associated documentation.
  • If you have a triage hub, prior approval scheme, or similar function, please share any service specification or similar documentation to describe service delivery.

Documents attached for:-

  • NHS GM Commissioning Policies
  • NHS GM escalation form
  • NHS GM service specifications

At present documents relating to the NHS GM triage hub are part of a procurement exercise and will not be shared outside of this process until such time as it has been completed. This is in order to maintain market integrity in the procurement process.

**Documents were sent to the requester with this response.  If you require a copy of the full response, together with the attachments, please contact NHS GM’s FOI team – nhsgm.foi@nhs.net **
