I am requesting the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.

1. In the last year (March 2025 – February 2026), how many patients have come forward to be tested for prostate cancer through a Digital Rectal Exam (DRE)?
2. Where data within the specified period is not available, please provide the last 12 months of available data
3. If possible, please provide the age of patients coming forward

1.NHS Greater Manchester (NHS GM) does not hold or have access to this data.  A suspected prostate cancer referral does request the completion of a DRE by the referring clinician, but we do not have a record of data to show the number which do include this in the referral information. Therefore, you may wish to contact the GP practices directly or the NHS Trusts within Greater Manchester who may be able to provide you with the information you seek. However, please note they also may not hold this level of detail.
