I am requesting information in relation to the Stockport Adult ASD–ADHD Diagnostic Service, commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board and provided by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.

 

Specifically, please provide:

 

  1. Waiting list closure

Please confirm whether NHS Greater Manchester ICB is aware that the waiting list for the Stockport Adult ASD–ADHD Diagnostic Service is currently closed to new referrals. If so, please confirm when the ICB was informed of this, and provide any recorded information relating to the ICB’s response, including any actions required of the Trust as a result.

 

  1. Contractual waiting time standards

Please provide any contractual waiting time standards, access targets, maximum waiting time thresholds, or performance indicators specified within the contract or associated documentation between the ICB and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust for the Stockport Adult ASD–ADHD Diagnostic Service. If no such standards or targets are specified, please confirm that no recorded information is held in relation to waiting time standards or access KPIs for this service.

 

  1. Commissioner oversight and monitoring

Please provide details of what information the ICB routinely receives from Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust regarding the Stockport Adult ASD–ADHD Diagnostic Service, including but not limited to: waiting list size, waiting times, service status, and referral acceptance. Please include the frequency with which this information is provided and any recorded reporting templates or frameworks used for this purpose.

 

  1. Actions to address the backlog

Please provide any recorded information relating to formal actions, improvement plans, recovery programmes, or formally agreed measures that the ICB has required of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust to address waiting times for the Stockport Adult ASD–ADHD Diagnostic Service. If no such recorded information is held, please confirm this.

 

  1. New ADHD triage service

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust has indicated that a new ADHD triage service is being developed in Greater Manchester in collaboration with the ICB. Please provide:

  1. A description of this service and its intended scope
  2. The expected timeline for implementation
  3. Whether this service is intended to address the existing backlog of people already waiting, or only new referrals going forward
  4. Any recorded co-production activity undertaken in relation to this service, including consultation with neurodivergent people and their families

 

  1. Communications with people on the waiting list

Please confirm whether the ICB holds any recorded information setting out requirements, guidance, or expectations relating to how Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust should communicate with people currently on the waiting list for the Stockport Adult ASD–ADHD Diagnostic Service. If such recorded information is held, please provide it. If none is held, please confirm this.

 

  1. Prescribing responsibilities and shared care arrangements

Please confirm whether the ICB holds any recorded information relating to agreements, guidance, instructions, or expectations regarding the transfer of ADHD prescribing responsibilities — including shared care arrangements — between the Stockport Adult ASD–ADHD Diagnostic Service, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, and Stockport GP surgeries. This includes any guidance relating to ongoing prescribing following diagnosis, whether by NHS or private providers. If such recorded information is held, please provide it. If none is held, please confirm this.

1. NHS Greater Manchester (NHS GM) has not been advised that the waiting lists for Stockport ADHD service have been closed.

2. NHS GM can confirm that no recorded information is held in relation to waiting time standards or access KPIs for this service currently.

3. NHS GM does not currently receive any information relating to the service’s performance

4. NHS GM can confirm that no such recorded information is held relating to addressing the backlog

b) the procurement for this service is about to commence within the next 4 weeks

c) Reviewing scope of offer relating to existing and new referrals will be considered when the hub is operational

6. NHS GM has not issued any direct requirements to providers regarding communication with patients on their waiting lists
