Can you please provide answers to my questions below.

1: How many children’s ADHD assessments have been funding during the period of 1st April 2026 and 13th May 2026 in Greater Manchester?

2: What is the annual budget for children’s ADHD assessments within Greater Manchester?

3: Was the budget for childrens ADHD assessments within Greater Manchester released in its entirety on the 1st April 2026 for the 2026/2027 financial year?

4: What is the cost per childs ADHD assessment within Greater Manchester?

5: What is the likelihood that waiting lists for childrens ADHD assessments will reopen during the 2026/2027 financial year?

6: Are all providers paused at the moment or is it determined by individual providers budget allowance?

2. No specific budget has been set for Children and Yount People (CYP) assessments. There is an overall budget that covers adult and CYP ADHD and Autism pathways, but does not include block contract activity delivered within core NHS providers, therefore it is not possible to answer this question

4. NHS GM has adopted the national tariff for payment (see Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) & Autism Diagnostic Assessment Services Payment Guidance). For core NS Providers, this is part of a block contract and does not have a unit price attached
5. NHS GM waiting list are not currently closed.
6. All right to choose providers have been issued an Indicative Activity Plan for 26/27, and providers have funding in place to continue oversight in relation to annual review and specialist oversight, with limited provision for urgent assessments.

ADHD is now part of the 10-year plan medium term planning for the NHS, and it may be that additional funding is released as part of this during the calendar year. There is an NHS England review launched on 4^th December 2025 that is expected to make recommendations for this area as part of the 10-year plan. Please see the link below for more information.
