Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I am writing to request information regarding NHS Greater Manchester ICB’s current commissioning arrangements, workforce management, and digital infrastructure for adult dermatology services.

Please provide responses to the following questions:

Section A: Commissioning and Leadership

  1. What is the name and corporate email address of the individual(s) holding the position of Dermatology Commissioning Lead, Planned Care Lead, Elective Care Lead, or equivalent role(s) within the ICB?
  2. What is the name and corporate email address of the individual(s) holding the position of Clinical Lead for Dermatology, GPwSI Dermatology, or Specialty Advisor for Dermatology within the ICB?

Section B: Teledermatology and Digital Infrastructure

  1. Does the ICB currently utilise a digital teledermatology or virtual triage software platform across primary care or GP practices? If yes, please provide: (a) the name of the software provider, (b) the contract start date and end date, and (c) the total financial value of the contract.
  2. Does the ICB currently use an artificial intelligence (AI) tool for dermatology image analysis or triage? If yes, please provide the provider name and contract expiry date.

Section C: Outsourced Clinical Capacity

  1. Does the ICB currently contract any independent or third-party clinical providers to assist with triaging dermatology referrals, managing dermatology waiting lists, or supporting two-week-wait (2WW) skin cancer pathways? If yes, please provide: (a) the name(s) of these providers, and (b) the start and expiry date(s) of their current contract(s).
  2. What is the current dermatology Referral to Treatment (RTT) waiting time performance for the ICB, and what is the total number of patients currently on the dermatology waiting list?

Section D: Procurement

  1. Are there any current or planned procurement exercises or market engagement activities relating to dermatology triage, teledermatology, or skin cancer pathway services? If yes, please provide details of the timeline and how providers can express interest.

  2. NHS GM does not currently utilise a digital teledermatology or virtual triage software platform.
  3. NHS GM currently does not use an artificial intelligence tool for dermatology.
  4. NHS GM currently commissions HealthHarmonie and the contract ends October 2026.
  5. The latest April published shows 61.4% of GM registered patients were seen within 18 weeks for dermatology. A total of 20,758 GM registered patients are on a Dermatology waiting list.
