Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I’d like to request the following information:

1. Whether your ICB routinely commissions and funds female sterilisation procedures.

If so, for each of the last five calendar years in which information is available, please provide:

1. The total number of female sterilisation procedures performed by the ICB
2. The total number of female sterilisation requests that were rejected by the ICB
3. Where available, a breakdown of recorded reasons for refusal

I wish to be informed in writing whether you have such information and, if so, I seek the disclosure of that information. If the information is covered by any exemptions, please disclose such information as is not covered by the exemptions.

NHS GM does routinely commission and fund female sterilisation procedures, however the ICB does not hold the remaining requested information, however it may be held by the Provider Trusts commissioned in Greater Manchester for the information you seek.  To assist you, please find below links to their websites with information about how to make a Freedom of Information request.
