Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I am writing to request information regarding NHS-funded fertility treatments within the geographic jurisdiction covered by NHS Greater Manchester ICB (and its predecessor Clinical Commissioning Groups).

Specifically, I require the total number of funded cycles performed per year, broken down from the year 2000 to the most recent available annual data, for each of the following procedures:

1. In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
2. Egg Freezing (Oocyte Cryopreservation)
3. Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)
4. Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

Please format the data in a clear table, showing each treatment category with its respective annual totals. If data is unavailable for earlier years (e.g., prior to the establishment of the CCG or ICB in this region), please provide the figures for all years that are held within your legacy records.

NHS Greater Manchester ICB (NHS GM) was formed on 1^st July 2022 following the merger of the 10 former NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Greater Manchester. The 10 former CCGs were NHS Bolton CCG, NHS Bury CCG, NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale CCG, NHS Manchester CCG, NHS Oldham CCG, NHS Salford CCG, NHS Stockport CCG, NHS Tameside and Glossop CCG, NHS Trafford CCG and NHS Wigan Borough CCG.

Note, commissioning responsibility for patients registered with a Glossop based GP did not transfer to NHS GM but instead transferred to NHS Derby and Derbyshire ICB.

As data was previously held by the 10 former CCGs, different elements of data was collected and held, meaning a complete picture for all former CCGs is not available. Similarly, since the formation of NHS GM different elements of data has been collected and held by the 10 GM localities and therefore it is incomplete and would not provide an accurate position nor in the format requested (split down by type) and therefore cannot be provided.
