Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request information regarding your Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) services.

Please could you provide the following:

  1. Current providers

The name of the organisation(s) currently contracted to deliver:

a) NHS 111 services

b) Clinical Assessment Service (CAS)

c) GP Out of Hours (OOH) services

2. Contract timelines

For each of the above services:

a) Contract start date

b) Initial contract term

c) Details of any extension options (including duration)

d) Current contract end date (stating whether extensions have been or have been confirmed that they will be exercised)

  1. Contract value

The total annual contract value (or most recent annual spend) for each service.

  1. Future procurement timing

The expected timeframe (month and year if available) for the next procurement or re-procurement of IUC services.

  1. Procurement approach

Whether the ICB expects to:

a) Re-procure IUC services as a single contract, or

b) Split services into separate procurements (e.g. NHS 111, CAS, OOH)

  1. Procurement route

The anticipated procurement mechanism (e.g. Provider Selection Regime, competitive procurement), where this has been determined.

Details of extension options: Direct award 01/10/2020 – 30/09/2023 (under COVID-19 Level 4 Command & Control arrangements).

Waiver Extension 01/10/2023 – 31/03/2025 with option for further 12 month extension.

Extension enacted 01/04/2025 – 31/03/2026. Contract modification 01/04/2026 – 30/09/2026.

Current contract end date – 30/09/2027.
