Category Contract Management

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contracts commissioned by your Integrated Care Board.

For the avoidance of doubt, this request relates only to APMS contracts for the provision of core primary medical services (general practice services) and does not include urgent treatment centres, walk-in centres, out-of-hours services, NHS 111, clinical assessment services, enhanced access services or other non-core urgent care contracts unless they form part of a core APMS primary medical services contract.

For each APMS contract currently commissioned by the ICB, please provide:

Contract/service name.

Current provider name.

Service type.

Procurement route used for award (e.g. competitive procurement, direct award, contract transfer or other).

Current annual contract value.

Contract start date.

Contract end date.

Details of any extension options, including the duration of each extension.

Whether a decision has been made regarding the future of the contract and, if so, whether it will be extended, reprocured, directly awarded, transferred to another provider, or otherwise recommissioned.

Where a future procurement or recommissioning exercise is anticipated, the expected timescale.

Details of any APMS contracts due to expire within the next five years, including any indicative timetable for recommissioning where known.

If it is easier, I am happy to receive the information in spreadsheet format or a table.

An excel document was sent to the requester with this response.  If you require a copy of the full response, together with the attachments, please contact NHS GM’s FOI team – nhsgm.foi@nhs.net
