Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I request the following information about routine (market-entry) applications to the pharmaceutical list.

 1.HINDLEY GREEN, WIGAN (Wigan Borough PNA 2025-2028 current need):The current status (pending / granted / refused / withdrawn / deferred, with any decision dates) of the Regulation 13 current-need application for 726 Atherton Road, Hindley Green, WN2 4SD, received on or about 4 February 2026. 

2. The current status of the Regulation 13 current-need application for a best estimate in Hindley Green, WN2, received on or about 31 March 2026 (previously recorded as deferred pending appeals). 

3.Details (date received, location, regulation, status) of any other pharmaceutical-list applications relating to Hindley Green received since 1 January 2026.

 4.Whether NHS Greater Manchester / Wigan Health and Wellbeing Board considers the Hindley Green current need in the Wigan Borough PNA 2025-2028 to remain outstanding, following the NHS Resolution decisions of 17 July 2026 (refs SHA/26902 and SHA/26942) refusing the two earlier grants. MEDIACITY / SALFORD QUAYS (Salford PNA 2025-2028 current need):

5. The current status of the Regulation 13 current-need application received on or about 20 March 2026 for a best estimate at the Quayside MediaCityUK Shopping Centre area, M50 3UB. 

6. Whether NHS Greater Manchester considers the MediaCity current need in the Salford PNA 2025-2028 to remain outstanding.

 4. A current need is indicated in Hindley Green as per the Wigan Borough PNA 2025-2028 and remains outstanding.

The previous two grants were refused by the NHS Resolution not because there is no current need in Hindley Green but because both applications were submitted at the time that the 2025 PNA was in a draft state and therefore it was decided by the NHS Resolution that the previous PNA should be applicable for consideration rather than the 2025 PNA under which these cases were considered(at the time of consideration the 2025 PNS was already published).

 As the 2022 PNA had no gap, the cases cited above were refused.

The current Wigan PNA identifies a current need within Wigan HWB.
