I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from the ICB. Please may you provide me with the following information:
1) Is the ICB currently commissioning a local enhanced service for tirzepatide? (Including prescribing and monitoring, from GP practices or other providers – please specify)
2) If not currently, has the ICB commissioned a local enhanced service for tirzepatide in the past and then withdrawn it?
3) Is the ICB currently commissioning a local enhanced service for semaglutide? (Including prescribing and monitoring, from GP practices or other providers – please specify)
Please provide the information in the form a pdf or word document.
If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.
If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined I would be grateful for any further advice and assistance.

1) No. For the weight-management indication, NHS Greater Manchester is not currently commissioning a local enhanced service for tirzepatide. NHS Greater Manchester ICB’s commissioning approach to tirzepatide is aligned with national policy.
2) Yes. For the weight-management indication, NHS Greater Manchester previously commissioned a local enhanced service for primary care provision of tirzepatide. This has been superseded and is now operating on a run-off basis for existing patients only. It has been withdrawn due to NHS Greater Manchester ICB’s commissioning approach to tirzepatide to be in line with current national policy and guidance.
3) No. For the weight-management indication, NHS Greater Manchester is not currently commissioning a local enhanced service for semaglutide.
