Specialist support available for health and care staff involved in critical or traumatic incidents

A new service will provide help and support for all health and care staff affected by critical incidents or traumatic events at work.

The new critical incident and trauma service is run by the Greater Manchester Resilience Hub, and will support anyone from the health and care sector in Greater Manchester who is struggling after being involved in major or upsetting incidents as part of their job.

The new service was created after a review of the support services for healthcare staff in Greater Manchester. The hub replaces the staff wellbeing service, which was created to support anyone working in healthcare during the pandemic. The staff wellbeing hub closed in April 2024.

The critical incident and trauma service will give much needed support to help both teams and individuals. Visit the website below to find out how to access the service.
