Grief Awareness Week.

National Grief Awareness Week is our chance to remind people how to access support.

It’s National Grief Awareness Week between 2 and 8 December 2024.

Led by the Good Grief Awareness Trust, this week is all about shining a light on people, places, and projects that help people through some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Most people experience grief when they lose something or someone important to them. If these feelings are affecting your life, there are things you can try that may help.

A bereavement service is available for people living in Greater Manchester.

Greater Manchester Bereavement Services

The Greater Manchester Bereavement Service is there for anyone living or working in Greater Manchester who has been bereaved or affected by a death by any cause no matter how long ago. Call 0161 983 0902 or visit the Greater Manchester Bereavement Service website.

Mike’s story

Mike lost his daughter Beth to suicide in 2020 and he has shared his story with us. He used the Greater Manchester Bereavement Service, and it helped him and his family to find a way forward. He encourages anyone experiencing grief to reach out to the service.
