The fourth face-to-face event in the Live Well series takes place from 10am to 4pm at Manchester Monastery in Gorton.
It will bring together people and community and system leaders, from every locality, to focus on what it will take to grow great everyday support in every Greater Manchester neighbourhood.
This everyday support has the potential to offer effective, trusted, trauma-informed support at people’s doorsteps, grow communities’ health and wellbeing and reduce demand on public services.
We would like to use this event as an opportunity to take our neighbourhood and prevention work to the next level. Bringing people together to talk about how we can deliver Live Well centres, spaces and offers, co-designing the features and principles that need to be at their heart. The event will share what we have learnt to date to inform the next stage of Live Well.
This event will be co-created with communities and public services. Together we will invite people and organisations to:
- Forge connections across the people and places in Greater Manchester doing this work, and grow the movement
- Share stories, practice and learning about communities acting on the things they care about
- Take action – explore what it takes to broaden residents’ opportunities to be healthy, happy and connected, through a variety of accessible and equitable activities, support and information in their neighbourhood
We would love to hear more about any examples of great everyday support that you would like to share learning around at the event. We are especially interested in finding out more about what spaces and places people are going to get support, and why they work for your communities.
Please contact GMLiveWell@greatermanchester-ca.gov.uk with anything you would like to share.
