When is my baby due?

A pregnant person sat on the floor organising a calendar. One of the first questions you may want to know is when your baby will be born.

If you know the first day of your last menstrual period, you can use the calculator on the NHS website to work out your estimated due date (above).

Please note that babies can and do arrive when they want to, some come earlier than expected and some are later than expected.

It is important to get in contact with your chosen maternity service provider of your choice as soon as possible, but ideally before your 10th week of pregnancy. You can find a list of local maternity service providers on our service directory.

You will be offered a scan at 11-14 weeks. This will calculate an estimated due date for birth.
