Women who’ve recently found out they’re pregnant are being urged to come forward and book in with a midwife for vital screening tests that are sometimes missed.

The national Population Health Fellowship aims to develop and grow a workforce of professionals who will incorporate population health into their everyday jobs. 

A formal partnership agreement has been signed by local health and care partners in Rochdale borough to improve the health, care and wellbeing of residents of all ages.

In Greater Manchester, more than 6,379 people are thought to be living with HIV, with an estimated 5% unaware of their status.  National HIV Testing Week promotes regular testing among the most affected population groups – helping to reduce the number of people living with undiagnosed HIV and those diagnosed late.

Nichola Thompson has been appointed as Rochdale Borough Council’s new director for health and care. Nichola will also lead the council’s integrated commissioning directorate, working across the borough’s health and care system as deputy place lead.
