Youth Health Agreement

A graphic for the GM Youth Health Agreement. The image background is made up of yellow, blue and purple colours. There are images of four young people with speech bubbles attached to them.

Young people can often feel daunted or overwhelmed when they need to access a health service such as their GP or dentist. They may be used to having a parent or carer taking them to medical appointments and be starting to take responsibility for their own healthcare for the first time.

NHS Greater Manchester wants to make sure that young people aged 11–19 years-old feel confident and in control of their own health. So, they teamed up with young people from across Greater Manchester to create the ‘Greater Manchester (GM) Youth Health Agreement’.

The GM Youth Health Agreement is a set of standards that young people can use as a guide to what care and support they should expect when accessing services.
