You can join a diabetes education programme if you live in Greater Manchester and are diagnosed with the condition.
The sessions are face-to-face or online. You can take part if you are newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or if you haven’t previously attended a programme.
It’s important that you are told about them and encouraged to attend because they help:
- You to manage your blood sugar levels so they don’t spike too high or drop too low
- Prevent complications such as heart disease, blindness and amputations
- Improve your wellbeing
Get involved
If you have type 2 diabetes, we want to know:
- If you have been told about the sessions
- What you thought about the sessions if you attended
- If you didn’t take part, why not?
This will help us to improve future education programmes.
We also want to hear from carers of people with type 2 diabetes and anyone who works in services that help people with diabetes.
How to share your thoughts
You have until March 2 to take part. You can:
- Complete a short survey on our diabetes education page
- Email us at engagement@nhs.net
- Send us a video on WhatsApp to 07786 673762
