We want to know why more people aren’t taking part in sessions to help them manage their type 2 diabetes.

You can join a diabetes education programme if you live in Greater Manchester and are diagnosed with the condition.

The sessions are face-to-face or online. You can take part if you are newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or if you haven’t previously attended a programme.

It’s important that you are told about them and encouraged to attend because they help:

  • You to manage your blood sugar levels so they don’t spike too high or drop too low
  • Prevent complications such as heart disease, blindness and amputations
  • Improve your wellbeing

Get involved

If you have type 2 diabetes, we want to know:

  • If you have been told about the sessions
  • What you thought about the sessions if you attended
  • If you didn’t take part, why not?

This will help us to improve future education programmes.

We also want to hear from carers of people with type 2 diabetes and anyone who works in services that help people with diabetes.
