The One Stockport Academy is running a free training programme for people aged 19 and over who are unemployed. No experience or qualifications are needed!

The new six-week course starts on Monday 6 February and will help you to gain the skills, knowledge and experience you need to work in health and social care in Stockport.

It includes college sessions at First House, placements with a local employer and a guaranteed interview for a permanent role. Your benefits will not be affected and a range of jobs is available for people with no previous experience or qualifications.

People can meet local employers, speak to people who work in health and social care, find out more about job opportunities and sign up for the course at the following events at Brinnington Library, Brinnington Rd, Stockport, SK5 8EN:

  • Thursday 26 January –  Jobs Fair, 11am-4pm
  • Tuesday, 31 January – sign up/open day, 10.30am-12.30pm
