I would be very grateful if you could provide, under the Freedom of Information Act, the following details:

1. Please can you advise if you commission dementia support services?
2. If you do commission dementia support services, please can you confirm:
a) Who is the current provider?
b) What are the current contract start and end dates?
c) What is the annual contract value?
d) Are you planning to retender when the current contract comes to an end?

 

  1. Yes

 

2a. Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust deliver Memory Assessment Services.

 

There are several Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) providers delivering dementia support. The NHS GM Healthcare Services Register is available via the NHS GM website, under “Lists and registers”.

2b. Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS FT and Pennine Care NHS FT deliver Memory Assessment Services – annual contract, 25/26 contract ends 31st March 2026.

 

There are a number of VCSE providers delivering dementia support – please see the response to question 2a for the link to the NHS GM Healthcare Services Register.

 

2c. Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS FT and Pennine Care NHS FT deliver Memory Assessment Services – this forms part of core block contract for secondary care mental health services. The nature of the contract does not permit NHS GM to separately identify the cost of dementia support services from other mental health services.

 

There are a number of VCSE providers delivering dementia support – please see the response to question 2a for the link to the NHS GM Healthcare Services Register.

 

2d. No, NHS Trusts will be rolled forward in line with PSR Direct Award A or and VCSE will be rolled forward in line PSR Direct Award C.
