World Diabetes Day takes place on 14th November 2024. We encourage people aged 18 and above living with type 2 diabetes to sign up to the Healthy Living programme.
More about this type 2 diabetes service
Healthy Living is a free online programme that will help you to reduce your blood glucose and body mass index (BMI) and will increase your confidence to manage your diabetes. It will give you the support, knowledge, and tools you need to manage your diabetes effectively and lead a healthier, happier life.
Use it at your own pace, when it’s convenient for you, and for as long as you need. Healthy Living can be used on it’s own, or alongside other diabetes programmes or education you may be using. It is also a great refresher if it’s been a while since you looked at information about managing your diabetes.
The service is available to anyone over the age of 18 in England living with type 2 diabetes, or their carers. Visit the Healthy Living website to sign up.
What is type 2 diabetes?
Type 2 diabetes is a common condition that causes the level of sugar (glucose) in the blood to become too high. It’s a long-term condition that can affect your everyday life. You may need to change your diet, take medicines, and have regular check-ups. Read more about type 2 diabetes on the NHS website.
