Teachers are invited to attend our free event to help them give the best care possible to pupils who live with asthma

Thousands of children in Greater Manchester have asthma. The half-day session will see NHS clinicians give staff simple steps they can take to improve support for children.

This could lead to an improvement in attendance figures, and reduce the risk of pupils becoming unwell at school.

Anyone involved in improving health, safety and inclusion for children in schools is welcome to attend. This includes local authority leads, public health teams, paediatric, respiratory and other relevant clinical professionals, children’s services leaders, commissioners and system partners.

The event will also see the launch of the city region’s first asthma guide, which gives schools clear, practical advice.

The event takes place at British Muslim Heritage Centre, College Road, Manchester, M16 8BP from 9.30am-12.30pm on February 12. A networking lunch will follow.
