Men’s Health Awareness Month 2025 is all about opening up, checking in, and taking care of your health - together

This November marks the annual Men’s Health Awareness Month 2025 – a time to spotlight the health challenges facing men and to promote early detection, prevention, and open conversations.

Many men don’t always talk about how they feel or go to the doctor when something seems wrong. But looking after your health is really important. It helps you stay strong and happy for not just the people you love, but for yourself too.

This month is all about helping men stay healthy, both in body and mind, and focusses on promoting physical and mental well-being among men, addressing issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health challenges, and suicide prevention.

Men are more likely to face problems such as heart disease, cancer, and mental health struggles, and many often try to “tough it out” instead of asking for help.

It’s a reminder that looking after your own health matters just as much as looking after the people you care about. Taking time for mental health check-ins or getting regular health screenings can make a big difference in the long run.

Check out our Men’s Health Awareness 2025 playlist on Youtube.

Key health areas men should check out this month:

  • Prostate cancer: This one’s common, especially if you’re over 50. A quick test can put your mind at ease – or help catch it early when it’s most treatable.
  • Testicular cancer: This one’s most common in younger men, ages 15-35. It’s a quick self-check that you can do in the shower.
  • Mental health: It’s time to end the stigma. Anxiety, depression, and stress affect men at high rates, and often men can be hesitant to seek support. A mental health check-in can change everything – don’t wait.
  • Heart health: Simple steps like cutting back on fried foods, getting more exercise, and managing stress can go a long way.

What men can do:

  • Book a health check: If you haven’t had a regular check-up (dental, optician or medical), now is the moment to act. Visit our find a service page to get started.

  • Talk openly: Whether it’s with a partner, friend, family member or a professional, sharing feelings and seeking support matters. Visit our Get To Know Where To Go page to find local and national mental health support. You can also visit Shining a Light on Suicide for more advice and support.

  • Get moving: Even 30 minutes of walking, weight-lifting or sport can help boost both body and mind. Visit our Keep Well page to find ways you can look after your own physical and mental wellbeing.

  • Look out for each other: Men’s Health Awareness Month is also a time to check in with the men in your life – friends, brothers, dads, and sons. Sometimes, a simple chat can make all the difference and help someone take that first step toward getting support.

Why it matters:

Men’s health isn’t just about the individual; it’s about being around for the people who matter. Whether it’s a dad, brother, partner or friend, taking steps today can make a big difference in the years ahead.

This November, the message is clear: don’t wait. Make the check-ups, start the conversations, and take the small steps that add up to a healthier life.

Movember: grow a moustache, start the conversation!

Movember is a fun and powerful way to shine a light on men’s health. By growing a moustache, you can help start important conversations and raise awareness about the issues men face.

The Movember Foundation has raised millions to support work around prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s mental health. So, when someone asks about your moustache, tell them it’s more than a style choice – it’s for a great cause.

Take charge this November

Looking after your health isn’t just about you – it’s about being there for the people who care about you. So this November, take charge, reach out, and help make men’s health something we can all talk about.
